In 1868, Maurici Pons arrived in Sant Tomeu de l’Empordà, with the mission of unblocking the railway project that would unite Barcelona with France. The task, however, will not be easy for a newcomer who will raise disagreements among the villagers, commanded by the headman, Daró, half sorcerer and half saurian.
